BOE Unveils a New Proof-of-Concept AI Media Center Powered by Qualcomm at CES 2025 to Showcase the Future of Smart Entertainment for the Home

CES 2025 kicked off on January 7, 2025, in Las Vegas, USA, and will last until January 10. During the event, the “All-in-one AI Media Center” that integrates a 65-inch Ultra HD display with new and rich AI based use-cases received a warm response and attention.

Developed by BOE and using a System on Module (SoM) core board powered by the Qualcomm® QCS8550 processor, this new all-in-one display offers computer vision (CV) and generative AI smart features with an immersive audio-visual experiences using BOE’s display technologies and device manufacturing capabilities. It introduces  highly intelligent capabilities using on-device CV and an AI chatbot with various scenarios such as watch together, real-time translation on video call, travel planning, smart home management,  and content generation like story book , leading a new trend of smart life.

Equipped with BOE’s new immersive smart display technologies, the “All-in-one AI Media Center” integrates  4K UHD display technologies with high-performance camera, audio, video, graphics, computing power, and AI into a comprehensive solution to provide a smoother, intelligent, interconnected, and convenient experience for home infotainment. With a 65-inch Ultra HD 4K screen, BOE’s “All-in-one AI Media Center” features an active stylus that supports up to 20 points of multi-touch, enabling smooth operation for multiple tasks by multiple users. The triple-lens AI intelligent camera solutions empower the “All-in-one AI Media Center” to generate clearer images and AI-based directional video for multiple use cases . The 8-mic array greatly helps maintain good audio quality during calls, featuring AI noise reduction, acoustic echo cancellation (ACE), dereverberation, and other functions.

The “All-in-one AI Media Center” not only brings an extraordinary interactive experience to smart infotainment applications but also innovatively expands the application of a smart large display to smart home management and AI assistance. By utilizing the QCS8550 with built-in neural processor, the display is capable of running AI ChatBot LLMs on-device without the need to be connected to the Internet.
